16 deep red garnets (the bottom one is missing, see 1st and 4th photo) in a gold setting with a small dangling gold square with a diamond in the center. Lovely carved gold vine leaf draping one side. Three of the garnets are cracked, also not very noticeable. I can't find a metal mark but it's heavy. The gold work is lovely, has 2 tiers of tower-like tongs holding each stone. A romantic, Victorian/Deco flavored ring, but is it genuine?
